Higher Digestibility - Digestibility is a measure of the percentage of the food that is absorbed into the body. The higher the digestibility, the higher quality the food. In private home tests, Wisdom® Dog Food was proven to be 97% digestible. What does this mean for dogs? Better absorption of all the nutrients packed in the food that leads to a stronger, more resilient, healthier dog!
As a rule of thumb, dry dog foods with digestibility values of 75 percent or less will be of very poor quality. Those with values between 75 and 82 percent are classified as moderate in quality. Foods with digestibility values that are higher than 82 percent are of high quality. If you see products with 88 percent or more reported digestibility, you have a rock star. Earth Animal® Wisdom® Chicken Recipe Dog Food has been formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the AAFCO Dog Food Nutrient Profiles for ALL Life Stages, including large sized dogs (70 lbs.) or more as an adult.

Our food content has been studied and nutritionally evaluated under veterinary-developed, humane guidelines, and fed to dogs in private homes.
Due to high nutrient density, you can feed fewer cups per meal. Wisdom® does not require water. But it's fine to add water to enhance the flavor and aroma.
Daily Feeding Guidelines per body weight (lbs.) to cups of food per day:
2-15 lbs: 1/4 - 3/4 cup
16-25 lbs: 3/4 - 1 1/4 cups
26-40 lbs: 1 1/4 - 1 3/4 cups
41-60 lbs: 1 3/4 - 2 1/4 cups
61-80 lbs: 2 1/4 - 2 3/4 cups
81-100 lbs: 2 3/4 cups - 3 cups
100+ lbs: Feed 3 cups + 1/2 cup for each additional 20 lbs
To transition: Gradually mix in Wisdom® with your dog's current food over a 7-10 day period, increasing Wisdom® by a small amount each day. The goal is for you to be feeding your dog 100% Wisdom® by day 10.
Recommended Transitioning Schedule:
Days 1 – 3: Feed 25% Wisdom® and 75% of your dog's current food
Days 4 – 6: Feed 50% Wisdom® and 50% of your dog's current food
Days 7 – 9: Feed 75% Wisdom® and 25% of your dog's current food
Day 10 and beyond: Feed 100% Wisdom®
Directions for gestation and lactation:
For pregnant or nursing dogs, we recommend free choice feeding. Directions for puppies: For puppies up to six months of age, we recommend feeding 2-3 times the adult amount for the same weight. For puppies from six months to one year, we recommend feeding 1 ½ -2 times the adult amounts for the same weight. Feeding amounts may vary according to breed, age, and lifestyle. If you have any questions about the correct amount to feed, please check with your veterinarian.
